The new owners wanted to transform a 1960s house into a new updated home that responded to their family’s needs while taking advantage of all the lot has to offer.
This was accomplished by using the core of the first floor and opening interior spaces to one another and to the exterior spaces. This started with an inviting new front porch addition that gives the house a fresh new curb appeal. Once inside , a Great Room composed of Kitchen, Dining & Family Room is created with a stone floor that ties the spaces together. A vaulted ceiling strategy gives them some definition, while all opening up to the site amenities that attracted them to the original house, which include a bricked fountain, and a large back yard that features a pool surrounded by palm & fruit trees.
To enjoy these amenities, an outdoor living space is added that provides a sitting area, fireplace and outdoor cooking and dining adjacent to the pool which is where the family loves to congregate.
A new Master Suite addition on the opposite side of this space reaches into the backyard as well, creating a cozy courtyard that gives purpose to the existing fountain.
The second floor bedroom suites are updated with better views to the backyard added.
The overall house is turned into one seamless composition with a painted brick exterior palette, updated windows and roof finishes that are complimented by new landscape and a brick sidewalk that welcomes you home.
