The owners wanted a house that used materials, forms and proportions that would become their own unique Mediterranean style residence. Stucco wall treatment with a Spanish tile roof coupled with varying elevations of the spaces make for an aesthetically pleasing presentation. The end result is a beautifully proportioned home where function and form joined together with a signature Stair Tower being the anchor element that the rest of the house wraps around. Limestone paving, columns, window treatments, balustrades and moldings on the front elevation set the architectural order for the rest of the house. The octagon shape is repeated in full and partially throughout the house, which helps with circulation from space to space and opens the house up to the site, allowing in more natural light and providing ever changing views outward.
